In Jordan's words
Released at fifteen.
Back in the building at seventeen.
I was at a Premier League academy from nine years old and they let me go at fifteen. Nobody sat me down and explained what happens next, because nobody really knows. You just stop being picked up on a Tuesday.
I played Sunday league for two seasons and did a college course I had no interest in. Ashford's academy manager came to watch someone else and signed me instead. First professional contract at eighteen, first league start at nineteen, and a loan at twenty that taught me more than the two years before it.
The reason this website exists is that I have watched a lot of very good footballers leave the game at twenty-six with nothing to show for it except a highlights reel. I have maybe eight more years of anyone caring what I think. I would like to still be useful to people after that.
So: the list below is mine, the shop is mine, and if you want to work with me the details are further down the page rather than buried in a DM request folder.
