In Dev's words
The off-season is the cheapest
attention I will ever get
Cricket has a strange shape to it. Six months where you are on television most weeks, and six months where you may as well not exist. Everyone in the game accepts that, and it makes no sense at all.
The winter is when people actually have time to read something, buy something or book something. It is when the juniors are indoors looking for coaching. It is when brands plan next year's budgets. And it is the exact half of the year most players go quiet.
So the content on this site keeps going through the winter, the coaching camps run in February, and the list gets a note every fortnight whether or not I have played. That was the single change that made the biggest difference.
I am twenty-two. If this goes well I have fifteen years. If it doesn't, I have three. Building something I own either way seemed like the obvious call.
